Town Clerk Jennifer West's staff help four-legged friends at the free rabies clinic.

More than 250 dogs and cats were vaccinated at the free rabies clinic Saturday (June 9) at the Perinton Department of Public Works.

The Town-hosted event drew 6 percent more pets than last year with 192 dogs and 71 cats being vaccinated at the annual event sponsored by Monroe County’s Public Health Department.

The clinic welcomed 147 residents and 129 non-Perinton residents. Residents were also able to renew pet licenses or purchase new licenses. Eight new licenses were issued and 20 were renewed.
