PERINTON TO CELEBRATE ITS BICENTENNIAL
In 2012, the Town of Perinton will celebrate its 200th birthday. Planning is currently underway for a variety of family friendly activities to celebrate the occasion. Some of the planned activities include a Gala Family Picnic, the July 4th parade themed towards the Bicentennial, Firemen's Field Day activities and multiple concerts at Center Stage at Center Park. In addition, historic walking tours of Fairport village, Bushnell's Basin and Egypt will be offered. While activities will occur throughout the calendar year, the majority of the events will take place between July 1st and July 15th, 2012. We invite you to help us with the preparations for this event. Our Bicentennial Planning Committee has formed. If you would like to help out, please contact one of our committee co-chairs for the event.

In honor of the Bicentennial, Jean Keplinger's book Windows to the Past, 200 Years of Perinton, New York, History is available for purchase at the Town Hall, the Fairport Historical Museum, Fairport Pharmacy, Main Street Mercantile, and the Perinton Wegmans.
