Passport Information

The Perinton Town Clerk's Office has been designated as an acceptance agency for US Department of State Passport applications.  Applications are accepted between the hours of 10 am and 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  Appointments are necessary.

ADULT PASSPORTS (Age 16 and older)

Please bring in the completed passport application(s) and photos - one set for each person applying.  Bring a certified birth certificate, which includes your given name and surname, date and place of birth, date the birth record was filed, signature of the registrar and a raised seal.  Bring your driver's license.  If you have a previous passport, bring that passport with you.

CHILDREN'S PASSPORTS (Age 15 and younger)

The child must appear in person.  Please bring in the completed passport application(s) and photos - one set for each child applying.  Bring a certified birth certificate.  It must include the child's given name and surname, his/her parents' names, date and place of birth, date the birth record was filed, signature of the registrar and a raised seal.

Both parents must be present if the child is under 16 years of age and must present their drivers' licenses or valid passports as proof of their identity.

FEES

The application fee for adults (16 & up) is $75; for children (through age 15) the fee is $60.   It is now taking 2 - 4 weeks to process a passport.  If you wish to expedite the process because of travel plans (processing in less than 2 weeks) there is an additional fee of $60 per passport.  If you wish to use Express Mail for return delivery there is an additional cost of $16.25 for that service.  Those fees are payable to the US Department of State.  The acceptance fee is $25 per passport, payable to the Town of Perinton.

The total fees, for an adult's regular application, are $100, for a child, $85.  The total cost for an adult's expedited application is $160; for a child is $145.  Express postage is additional.

PASSPORT CARDS  (NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL LATE SPRING)

The cards may be used for land or sea travel, NOT AIR TRAVEL, between the US, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Carribbean

The application fee for adults (16 & over) $45; for children (through age 15) the fee is $35.  These fees are payable to the US Department of State.  The execution fee is $25 per card, payable to the Town of Perinton
