Dog Male

Nash went missing while on a walk at Linear Park in Penfield, NY, on 1/12/2019 at 7:00 am. Nash is a dachshund/beagle mix who is wearing a black martingale collar and a blue lighted harness with blue metal ID tags in the shape of a bone. He was last seen at Spring Lake Park at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Whitney Road Please do not approach or chase him. He is very nervous, and he will continue to bolt. Please contact Perinton Animal Control with any information.

UPDATE: 2/5/2019

The Town of Perinton and East Rochester, with help from a couple residents, have set up feeding stations in locations ideal to trap Nash. If you have food out for Nash, please remove the food so he will be more likely to come into our feeding stations. If you see Nash, please DO NOT CHASE HIM, we want to keep him where he is and if you try to chase or catch him it might cause him to leave the area. Please report any sightings to Animal Control.

The Animal Control Office is responsible for the protection and control of common domestic animals and nuisance wildlife for the Town of Perinton and Village of Fairport.  The office is staffed by one full time and seven part-time Animal Control Officers that are available to assist Perinton and Fairport residents with dog or wildlife problems 24 hours a day.

The mission of the Animal Control Office is to enforce the Dog Control Ordinances for the Town of Perinton and Village of Fairport as well as enforce Article 7 of the NYS Agriculture and Markets Law.  The Animal Control Officer assists the Town Clerk with Dog Licensing as well as organizes an annual Rabies Immunization Clinic that is free and available to any Perinton or Fairport resident.  This event takes place at the Perinton Public Works Facility (100 Cobb’s Lane). The Animal Control Office is also available to answer questions, assist, or advise residents on nuisance wildlife problems.
