Community Garden

Mission Statement
The Town of Perinton community garden establishes sustainable living and gardening through a collaborative effort of local agencies, neighbors, and community groups. The cooperation of these groups will support the importance of locally grown food, celebrate a rich heritage of 'Victory Gardens', encourage health and wellness for all ages, offer educational programs and donate food to local groups or families.
Announcing the Perinton Community Garden Beds Available to Rent. Located in beautiful Potter Park, the Perinton Community Garden was once the site of a victory garden in the 1940's. Community gardens are places where people can rent, for a small seasonal fee, their own garden bed to grow produce and flowers. These gardens also contribute to a more sustainable environment, promote a positive community image and create opportunities for friends and neighbors to work together. The Perinton Community Garden will also provide the opportunity for gardeners to learn and grow in their gardening skills. We are very excited to be able to have this in our town and look forward to meeting and growing with you! Once you have registered for a garden bed(s), an information packet will be sent including garden layout and guidelines. Existing gardeners' will have first opportunity to get their same bed again the following year. Between 20-30 percent of the "Share the Harvest" garden will be available to local groups, charities or families in need. At this time, garden beds are for Fairport/Perinton residents only.
