2013 Capital Road Construction

The Road Construction section will be updated in the Spring, 2013.  Please check back.

 SPECIAL NOTES:

Newly installed concrete is highly susceptible to damage from lawn fertilizers. Please make every effort to avoid having any lawn fertilizer contact the new gutters for at least one month.

Also, for proper lawn growth to occur in areas that have recently been topsoiled and seeded, it is imperative the area be watered on a regular basis.

Status of Perinton Capital Highway Projects, January 31, 2013

O'CONNOR ROAD RELOCATION

This project involves the relocation of the southern end of O'Connor Road to align with Jefferson Avenue.  The present O'Connor Road / Rt. 31F intersection has had a number of accidents and this new signalized location will improve traffic safety.   The design of the project has been slowed by the cleanup of the contaminated soil at the Hess gas station.  This is now complete.  The public hearing held on May 14, 2012 was attended by many local business owners. The project has now entered the right-of-way acquisition phase, which is expected to be completed this winter.  The final project design is being accomplished at this time also.  Construction , scheduled for 2014, may be moved up to Summer, 2013 pending State and Federal approvals.
